Adding a Meet link to your Google Classroom is easy! All you need to do is click on it and your meeting will begin! To make sure you have a high-quality video meeting, you may want to set audio and video locks. You can also share your Meet link in advance so everyone has the opportunity to join. In this article, we’ll explain how to create a unique Meet link for each class.
Create a unique Google Meet link for each of your classes
There are two primary ways to create a Meet link for your classes in Google Classroom: from the Class Stream header, or from the icon in the upper right corner of the Classwork page. Once you’ve made the link, click on it to begin the meeting. Your students can join the meeting by clicking “Join” or “Create a new meeting.”

In order to make your Google Meet link visible to your students, you’ll need to enable FS on your domain. This will make the link accessible to students on the Stream page and the Classwork page. Afterward, you can set the link to be displayed in the Stream header and next to the Calendar and Drive options. This will allow your students to view the meeting whenever they’d like, and will prevent them from creating duplicates.
To create a Meet link in Google Classroom, you must first create a class in the tool. Then, enrol your students. After you’ve created a class, click the “Generate Meet Link” button on the stream page. Make sure that the ‘Visible to students’ option is checked. Once you’ve set the visibility to students, you can save the generated Meet link to the Class Stream.
Enable audio lock and video lock
If you want to hold a video conference with students and want to ensure that no one joins before the teacher arrives, you should enable audio and video locks when adding a Meet link to your Google Classroom. Fortunately, Meet lets you manage your participants and remove them from the meeting. All you have to do is click the People button in the bottom-right corner of the screen to locate a student. Then, click the 3-dot icon next to their name and select Remove from call. To disable the audio lock and video lock when adding a meet link to your Google Classroom, you must first reset the link to your classroom.
To enable audio and video locks, go to the settings page of the meeting link in your Google Classroom. If you don’t see the options, go to the Google Classroom Help Center and search for “audio lock and video lock.” Then, you’ll need to enable the checkboxes next to the audio and video lock settings to allow them. Otherwise, the video will automatically be blocked.
Share the link in advance
You can share the meet link in advance in Google Classroom, but you must do this first. When creating a new class, you must have the “Generate Meet link” button enabled on the Class Stream header. Once you have that button enabled, go to the “Classwork” tab and click the “Create Classwork” button. Choose Assignment and select a question. Then, fill in the title and instructions for the assignment. Once this is completed, you can paste the link in the assignment and attach it.
Once you have shared the meet link in advance in Google Classroom, you can create a new task or question and assign it to a group of students. To add the meet link, click the Create button on the classwork page. When you add a meet link, you can add it to any task or question you’ve created. You can also add a meet link to an announcement. The Stream is a great place for this type of announcement.
Improve video meeting quality
If you’re a teacher and want to improve video meeting quality, add the meet link to Google Classroom. Once the link is added to your class, students can join the meeting by clicking it. If they join the meeting before the teacher, they’ll be taken to a waiting room. To invite outside participants, the teacher must enter the meeting first. This step is also required for any meeting with multiple participants.
The meet link can be generated in multiple places, but the most obvious place is from the header of a Class Stream. Then, you can click the “Copy” button to copy the link, which will appear in the header of the Class Stream. Alternatively, you can click the cogwheel icon on the upper-right corner of a Classwork page and then click “Generate meet link.
