Gmail has a great feature that allows you to add a new label in Gmail App. Instead of having an inbox that you have to sort through, you can simply add a new label and skip past your primary inbox and keep the new one. You can even add a label named EmailThis to your inbox and store emails in it.
Description
In the Gmail app, you can add new labels for emails. To do so, open the app and log into your account. From there, click the gear icon at the top-right corner of the window. Scroll down to the “Labels” section and click “Create a new label.” The next screen will ask you to name the label and click “Create”. The new label will appear.

Once you’ve created a label, you can use it to organize your inbox. You can also nest labels within existing ones. Then, when you need to find an email, you can drag it to the label you’d like. You can also use the “nesting” feature to create subfolders within existing labels.
If you don’t want to use your labels, you can hide them. To access the hidden labels, you need to log into your Gmail account. From here, you’ll want to go to the “Quick settings” section. On the left-hand side, tap the Labels tab. You can now add a new label.
You can also customize the color of your labels. Gmail’s default colors are gray, but you can change them to any color you want. Whether you use red for Amazon or green for invoices, you can change the label’s color to suit your needs.
Key feature
Labels in Gmail are very powerful and are a good substitute for folders. They are nested and can be used as sub-folders of other folders. To add a new label, sign in to your Gmail account and hover your mouse over the vertical three-dot icon. Click the Add sub-label option, and then enter your label details.
Once you’ve chosen a label, you can assign your messages to it. You can also choose a custom color that you don’t see in the Gmail app’s color choices. This color will appear in the label list and apply to all emails within that label. You can also nest labels within each other if you want to make your labels nested.
Once you’ve added your labels, you can access them in the label list on the left. You may need to click the “more” button to view all the labels. Clicking a label will display all the emails with that label. You can also add sub-labels to labels, which will act as folders within folders.
Gmail also allows you to hide your labels from your label list. If you don’t want to see messages in these labels, you can hide them by clicking the small arrow next to them. Alternatively, you can uncheck these labels to hide them.
How to add
You can add new labels to your emails by following a few simple steps. First, log in to your Gmail account and select the Labels section. Then, tap Create new. In the Create new label window, provide a name for the new label. You can have up to 225 characters to choose from.
Select the label that you want to rename from the list. This should be in the left hand pane. In the context menu, you can change the name of the label or make other changes. Once you’ve finished making changes, you can save them. To remove a label, select all emails in the label.
Next, you can assign a label to a specific email. You can even assign a label to several messages at once. This way, you can see all of the messages with that label. If you don’t want to show these messages to all of your contacts, you can remove the label.
You can also hide a label if you don’t want it to be visible. To do so, click on the small arrow next to the label. Then, select Show if unread.
